Devil in Winter by Lisa Kleypas

3.0

This? This is Lisa Kleypas's highest rated book? This wouldn't crack my top ten of hers.
I found the plot . . . boring. I thought we lingered too long on things that didn't affect the romance. Both Evie and Sebastian (mainly the latter) had a lot of personal growth to go through, and the first half of the book dealt with Evie losing her father and Sebastian discovering he has feelings. I think this has such a high rating because Sebastian, our anti-hero, goes through a redemption arc. He did not do nearly enough groveling for me.
