this book feels like those sunny afternoons when you were a kid, and your grandmother is oiling your hair, and telling you the stories of her life. you can feel her fingers pressing into your scalp as she whisks you away to a time where she was a different person, in a world you will never know, nor experience.

i don’t have enough words for the way i was sat, transfixed, the entire duration of this bastard book. this hit exactly where it needed to hit.

this book feels like coming home.
