i finally finished the dune series, i felt like i’ve been in this world for foreverrrr. i think this book in particular is the least favourite of mine. my favourite remains to be the first one, dune. from then on the series just went downhill lol.
i didn’t care for the characters at all apart from duncan and murbella, these two were the only reason i gave a star for. i still hated the fact that we followed completely different people from the first book in the series because i wasn’t at all invested in these ones here. i could not give a single fuck about what they were doing. 😭
the writing style continued to be confusing, i think my brain cells were too stupid to comprehend the story properly lol. it was written so philosophical sometimes and not in a good way. it didn’t manage to grip my attention AT ALL, i was zoning out at times or picking my phone up instead.
the plot wasn’t my favourite either. i always expected for some sort of battle scene but it never came lol. all this scheming was boring me to death and this book in general is highly forgettable for me personally. i’ll probably forget all about it by the end of today i’m being so fr.
i can’t personally recommend this to anyone because the series just progressively went worse, sooo there’s that. 💀
