The Periodic Table by Primo Levi

I didn't realise how anthological it was until about a third of thenway and that took me off a bit. Despite that, the story of Primo Levi's life and how it was told was quite fascinating. Its presentation as a biography was unique too, how every story had an element of the periodic table as a centerpoint , an allegory or a side character of that story. Also, as the writer mentions himself, it's but a rare occu rence to read the biography of a chemist.
The first part of the book was more interesting though the vanadium story shook me. I also enjoyed the story of Iron and the two fictional stories.
