Spice you say? Sign me up! Josh and Layla were sweet and spicy and everything I want from a book couple. I absolutely love second chance romances and the way theirs was plotted out was perfection.
This is my first read by Nicole Baker but I will definitely be going back for more. Her writing style and characters are what I look for in a romance read.
Josh and Layla have been burning torches for each other for over 10 years and when they finally come togehter it is explosive! Wow! Loved their chemistry and intimacy. I go feral for a MMC that is a sweet ol' hunk of a man in public but a freak in the sheets. Josh worshiped Layla in and out of the bedroom and his passion and devotion for her was heartwarming and panty melting.
The way Nicole Baker navigated Josh's mental health and childhood trauma was beautifully written. I appreciate the sensitivity that went into this.
This was a fantastic summer read and I'm so glad I got to experience Josh and Layla.
