I’ve been waiting to read a book like this for so long. It was exactly what I was searching for. The authors world building is next level and has us immediately immersed. Classifying herself as Romantasy is the best move considering I’d refer to her as the Queen of Romantasy anytime someone asks. The characters, for me, were immediately like-able. You feel a sense of protectiveness for them as you start to understand them. Which can be a hard thing to accomplish but Elsie Quail makes it seem easy.
Forced proximity and fated mates are two of my FAVORITES and this doesn’t disappoint plus the sisterly love is so refreshing to read. The arranged marriage Astelle is trying to escape gives the story its dark underbelly and high stakes plot! Which makes this a fast but deeply rich read. If I had been able, this would have been absorbed in a day! But I took it slow to fully grasp every beautiful word.
Thank you so much to the author for my arc copy! I’ve had the pleasure of seeing this all the way through and I can’t wait to see what else you come up with! READ THIS!!!
