You have made yourself like a blade that is hammered over fire and quenched in water. Day after day. But there is nothing weak in being soft, in being gentle.

I am relieved, now, to know you are nothing like me. You are your own self, and I had no part in shaping or molding you. How ironic to know my enemies made you greater than I ever could.

I surely am captivated by Rebecca Ross writing. Its beauty describes how words can be so much powerful. The messages that the writer wants to convey are deep. Where gentleness settled in, there is always power within. Being soft, sometimes, turns people to be resilient and mindful. We can be anything with such power, even become Laird, whether you man or woman. And I think, this book is quite representative with gender equality issue. I like how a job that requires physical strength is not limited to men only or a job that requires beauty or us to stay at home in most of the time is not subjected only for women. Sometimes, being vulnerable and clueless is ok, that's part of living a life.

I don't know how to explain my love for this book. I just keep it close and dearly to my heart. One of my best read this year.
