The story follows a centuries old vampire, Matthew, a witch in denial, Diana, and a powerful manuscript that all matter of magical creatures want.
During the story, Matthew and Diana's relationship grows stronger.
I felt the story was well written. I particularly liked that it was set against the backdrop of Oxford University, despite being quite a long audiobook, the story held my attention well, this was partly due to the evolving storyline and the narrator.
The narrator's melodic voice brings the words to life. It helped to become invested in the characters. Her voice was clear and of a good speed.
