The Island of Dr. Moreau by H.G. Wells

4.0

I read The Island of Doctor Moreau back to back with The time Machine; both of which are by H. G. Wells. I liked Island better. I couldn't help but think of how improbable the creatures in the story were, but that was 100+ years ago. Modern thoughts aside, it was horiffic what the animals had to endure.
It was fitting that the animals reverted to their former natures - that spoke volumes to me about how man can mess try to mess with nature, but it really is futile.
The ending was so appropriate- Pendrick having PTSD. Very fitting given what he went through.
