- 3.5 stars -
End Game is about Kaipo, a football player, who agrees to help Ophelia win the guy she loves. Despite Ophelia's low profile, Kaipo takes on the challenge. But as he helps her, he realizes he's falling for Ophelia instead. Despite her offer to pay him, what Kaipo really wants is her heart.
End Game is a light and fun new adult romance. Kaipo, the charismatic hero, adds a dash of sizzle to the story, making it an absolute page-turner. The dynamic between the extroverted Kaipo and the introverted Ophelia brings a refreshing additional layer to the plot.
The story moves at a lively pace, making it an effortless and enjoyable read. I was completely hooked from the start. Ophelia's transformation from a wallflower to a more confident version of herself is heartwarming. Initially, I was ready to give this book a solid four-star rating, but then came a twist that threw me for a loop. This twist brought about some noticeable inconsistencies that I couldn't overlook. This bumped my rating down by half a star.
In a nutshell, End Game offers a perfect blend of romance and engaging characters. It's a book that's hard to put down, even with a few bumps along the way. If you're looking for a quick, entertaining romance with a seriously hot hero, this is the one for you.
