I Was Told There'd Be Cake by Sloane Crosley

5.0

"If remembering you had to be somewhere else could take the shape of a person, it would be a mugger in an alley. There I was walking along the street, on the way to pick up my dry-cleaning, and a man in a black mask would pop out of nowhere with a gun made of guilt."

The writing in this book is all that quality and I loved it. I had to stop myself from snickering while reading on work breaks. Cannot express how well written this book is or how much I loved it. Great series of essays and also wonderful to read in between doing things.
