The Dream Thieves by Maggie Stiefvater

5.0

First read: 2014. Re-read: march 2016.
Read this during a TRC buddy read with a bunch of awesome girls, in preparation of TRK's release in April.

“In that moment, Blue was a little in love with all of them.
Their magic. Their quest. Their awfulness and strangeness.
Her raven boys.”

Well, this book was as wonderful and breathtaking as the first one, as exciting as the first time I read it.
I'm in love with every single thing of this series, from Maggie's writing to the beautifully constructed characters.

“While I'm gone," Gansey said, pausing, "dream me the world. Something new for every night.”

I seriously cannot find a flaw in it. Yeah, maybe it sounds cheesy, but I don't care.
The feelings Maggie's writing give me, the sense of wonder, of otherness, of awe... I'm pretty sure she's one of the few authors that can do that to me.

“And Ronan was everything that was left: molten eyes and a smile made for war.”

I'll probably never love Adam as I love the other characters, but they're all unforgettable in their own way.
Though Gansey, guys.
Gansey will remain my favourite of all.

I love how the relationships in this second book are brought to new level. Ronan and Gansey are kind of my 1° brOTP and Bluesey (CHAPTER 51!! *slowly dies*), my gosh, I ship them so much it hurts.

“It was mint and memories and the past and the future and she felt as if she’d done this before and already she longed to do it again.”

I'M READY FOR YOU, BLLB.
