I thought it was time to reread the first series I ever read from this author. I Belong To You is the fifth book from Lisa Renee Jones' Inside Out series. I wasn't sure if I wanted to reread this one as this book was about a different couple.
“You’re the one thing keeping me grounded.”
I Belong to You is a book about Mark, Sara's boss and Crystal the girl who works for his mom. But his mom wasn't just her employer she was also her friend and kind of her third mother. It took me awhile to get into the book because I was so into Chris and Sara's story and I didn't think I could really like Mark because of the earlier books. But thankfully we got to see other side of Mark.
Mark and Crystal both have their own pasts and I love how they were on the same page instead of other loving more than other. No one besides Crystal had never really seen or know him. What I liked more about this couple than Chris and Sara, is that they let each other tell their secrets without any pressure and didn't want anyone else tell them. I loved seeing Mark being protective of Crystal and wanting her to see he's changed before she finds out how badly he treated Rebecca.
I was glad to see Mark finally admitting what he felt about Rebecca but also admitting that even though he loved her, she didn't make him feel like Crystal did. No one made him feel like Crystal does.
All in all I loved to see character growth in Mark and how he finally let himself have feelings for someone, even admitting what he felt for Rebecca. This was a book of healing and letting love in.
