Les Liaisons Dangereuses by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos, Pierre Choderlos de Laclos, George Barbier

5.0

Sex, lies, manipulation, schemes, corrupted innocence, betrayals, and bragging about it! All of these things and the manner in which they were woven into the letters made this a must read for me. I wasn't sure I'd enjoy this manner of telling a story but I can't see any other way for it to have been done. It allowed for multiple perspectives in far less words.

There was no hero in this story, only victims of malicious people, so if that's what you're looking for, don't bother picking it up.

I can only hope the movie adaptation is as fabulous.
