god, this book destroyed me in the most cathartic way. I identified with Harriet in so many ways, and her relationship really got to me. Getting deep here, but I had a relationship with a person whom I really loved, only for him to suddenly dump me over the phone completely out of the blue. Harriet's heartbreak, confusion, despair, anger, was mine, too. Literally!!
