Through the Ice by Jaqueline Snowe

5.0

Jaqueline Snow gave us so much more than a hockey romance with Through the Ice. The relationship that Theo and Audrey developed was the perfect slow burn because it made the reader appreciate their genuine connection first and foremost.

They clearly had an attraction to each other but Audrey was determined to keep Theo on the enemy side of the line. When he finally started to break through her walls her family dynamics, and lack of experience in the love/relationship department almost prevailed. I loved how Theo persisted and made sure she knew that he was always going to put her first. The hug...OMG! Who knew a simple hug could do it for you the way his did for her.

The connection they shared through their family dynamics, the hospital, and their shared focus & drive, as well as their want for something more from life made them so relatable and endearing.

Theo may have been sweet as candy but he was exactly what Audrey needed. That man was book boyfriend material though and through. I was so happy for them they prevailed together.

This was such a great read and I can't wait for more Central State Hockey!
