Sharp Teeth by Toby Barlow

So this is a werewolf fantasy that is also a convoluted hardboiled mystery and also a narrative poem. I feel like the author should have chosen two of those things instead of all three and this would have been a lot more enjoyable. Also I'm not a huge fan of the "werewolves as outlaw biker gang" trope and nearly half of this book is an extended reference to that painting with the gambling dogs. Yeah, I don't get it either.
