I LOVED this book!! It has elements of historical fiction, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and some seriously badass feminism.
This book exceeded my expectations.
The characters were all so unique and well formed, I loved the main character’s growth and how she sorted through her dreams and thoughts to eventually land on what she really wanted.
I love how she didn’t have to pick only one - education or love - she found a way to have both.
The plot twist regarding Vincent was... wow.
The growing relationship between Lute and Rhen was beautifully portrayed. And the aspect that, you’re still valid if all you want is to get married and have children that was portrayed by Selani is something you don’t often see in YA. It was excellently done.
