Ah! I knew there was a reason why I fell in love with April White’s writing style in [b:Code of Conduct|51559366|Code of Conduct (Cipher Security, #1)|April White|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1568597328l/51559366._SX50_SY75_.jpg|71914772] (Read My Review) and this beautiful new book in the same series pretty much cemented the fact that I will be stalking her (and maybe her books) for the rest of our lives.
This review, however isn’t going to be as easy to write as I would expect – the perfect balance of romance between two very distinct individuals as well the very well researched plotline and the way the she has described the places (Boston or Chicago) in the book – brilliant and easily imaginable for a newbie like yours truly!
Anna, one half of a twin – easily has become one of my favourite heroines of all time – she is quirky, so comfortable in her own skin and her view point as well as the re-imagination of even the most mundane objects and activities has me in splits at times and grinning at others; but ALWAYS made me feel good about the world around me.
Darius, like Anna describes him; is the perfect reincarnation of a Disney Prince; HER Disney Prince – but he might have been the opposite of who Anna is; but he was still one of the most wonderful heroes of all times; one who not only saw Anna for who she is but also appreciated her for her quirkiness and individuality.
They fit together like pieces of a puzzle; a puzzle they might have not known even wanted to be complete – but a re – stolen painting and decades old mystery bring them together in ways they could not have ever imagined.
This was another 5 star read for me; and a dazzling addition to the Cipher Security Series – and it was also like coming home; when we not only encounter Shane and Gabriel (from Code of Conduct) but also reactions of Dan and the big man, Quinn ‘s reactions to Anna and her very adorable quirkiness!
