Olivia has everything she could ever want - clothes, a lavish lifestyle, the heiress status. Olivia’s family on the other hand are tired of her antics and threaten to take away her trust fund if she doesn’t demonstrate she can be responsible enough to handle it. Olivia’s test is to be sent to the family farm in South Georgia and live with an aunt she barely knows. Olivia’s transition to Underwood Farms is tougher than she expected, until Landon starts to show her the ropes and shows her that there’s more to Thundersville than farm land.

OUT OF PLACE is an opposites attract small town romance which happens to be two of my favourite romance tropes. This story made me think a lot of Tessa Bailey’s It Happened One Summer and K.A. Tucker’s The Simple Wild which also happen to be two of my favourite opposites attract/small town romances! Are we seeing a theme here haha?

Before I get too far ahead of myself, the cover of OUT OF PLACE is absolutely gorgeous, isn’t it?!

OUT OF PLACE is a phenomenal read with just the right amount of fun banter, great chemistry, and some steamy spicy scenes 🥵. It is mostly told in Olivia’s POV but has some chapters in Landon’s POV which ended up being a nice mix between the two. Olivia is a privileged woman when she arrives to Thundersville, never having worked a moment in her life, so the personal growth and journey she experiences over the course of this novel is amazing. I loved watching her find herself in the least likely of places. Landon is a charming and hardworking farm hand who is so sweet towards Olivia, making sure she feels wanted and appreciated. I loved the relationship that develops between the two and the many fun scenes they share. I couldn’t be more happy with the end result of this book.

I really liked Dottie, she’s very no nonsense but a caring aunt nonetheless. Bennett is a bit of a mystery, we don’t get much out of him but I’m hopeful a future book will address him. Camden is so sassy but I loved him anyways! Serena is a great best friend to Olivia, checking in on her and being generally accepting and supportive of Olivia’s choices.

I can’t wait to see what comes next for the Underwood Farms world!
