Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by J.K. Rowling

EDIT: 7/19/17

This book is the most satisfying reread out of the entire series I think (so far anyway!! I have to get through the other books to know for certain :) ) because of how much is revealed at the end. This is honestly one of the best "omfg" reveals of so many books I've read because everything ties together so well. You reread it and you notice little details that make total sense knowing the plot and are sooo easy to not pick up on if you didn't know how the book actually goes. I love the Marauders so much and their backstory has a very special place in my heart. This whole book I just keep feeling sad for Lupin and how it must feel riding the train and seeing Harry grown/being on it without his friends for the first time, how it must feel going back to Hogwarts with all those memories, how it must feel thinking your best friend betrayed your other best friends. I also especially love how Lupin being a werewolf and the preconceptions around werewolves are reflective of so many things in society. Ugh I love this one.

I think this is one of my favorite HP books because of the Marauder backstory. Poor Sirius, the whole time I just wanted to shake everyone and clear his name so he could be free <3
