"Because the truth is always so much harder than making up something pretty. I'd rather have the ugly truth than a beautiful lie."
I'm a sucker for a good mafia romance, and this is one of them. J.T. Geissinger does a wonderful job bringing the intrigue and heat into Natalie and Kage's relationship, while keeping enough mystery that had me anxiously awaiting what was going to happen next.
I loved the twists and turns in Ruthless Creatures, and Natalie's tenacious attitude went toe to toe with Kage's brutish demeanor. I'm excited to start the 2nd book in this series, and hopefully I'll get to read a bit more about these two somewhere down the line. Overall a 5 star read for me.
