I was surprised that I liked this book as much as I did. By no means is it the best YA dystopian series out there but it is still pretty good. I watched the movie before hand and that really helped to get a better picture while I was reading the book. Some things in it are confusing but what I really liked is that it was something that I could see truly happening. I feel like that’s the mark of a truly good dystopian novel. For example, in no way shape or form could I see something like divergent happening but The Maze Runner - definitely. The government putting children in a maze as test subjects for a cure. I’m honestly surprised that the government hasn’t done that already.
