Three Simple Rules by Nikki Sloane

3.0

Here are my three simple rules after reading this book:

1. The MMC should be financially competent and not withdraw $12,000 from his 401k to buy time with a woman he’s interested in.

2. FMC should not say “I love you” to MMC first, and not have him say it back

3. The main couple should not have a threesome with the FMC’s best friend, and the MMC should DEFINITELY not give more attention to the FMC’s best friend during said threesome

Wtf???? This book started out strong! I enjoyed the book for the most part, it was a quick and easy read. I was super invested in Evelyn’s dilemma, and the first spicy interaction between her and Logan was great. The plot grew weaker as the book went on. Most of my stars are for the spice, which was well written until I got to the threesome part….threesomes are fine, but it was executed so poorly. As if I didn’t already have the ick from Logan after he took so much money out of his investment account (bad with money=red flag!), I was grossed out by his behavior during the encounter. He basically put all of his energy and attention into Evelyn’s best friend. UNATTRACTIVE!
