Rating this separately to my collection of Dickens' Christmas stories. My views on it are in my review of the Christmas Carol and Other Christmas Writings clothbound edition.
I found this story particularly difficult to process. I felt as though it was almost overworking my brain, and at times boring me, perhaps because of the writing style. Definitely more so than any of his other works.
