In a Jam by Kate Canterbary

This book scratched an itch that I didn't even know I had. In a Jam is a delightful blend of cozy, sweet, and sexy, with a hint of angst that gave the characters depth.

The premise in the beginning is reminiscent of Stardew Valley, one of my favorite video games. It captures the essence of starting anew, building relationships, and finding love in unexpected places....specifically, a grandparent's farm in a charming small town.

Noah........I am in LOVE with this fictional man. Not only is he a lawyer turned hot farmer and loving legal guardian to his niece, he is so in love with Shay and he shows it in the best ways. Noah is a captivating mix of grumpy charm and heartfelt affection. He also has a surprising side to him that I couldn't get enough of.

Shay's character undergoes a poignant transformation from a woman burdened by abandonment, to someone embracing a fresh start and growing to accept the love she deserves. She is a compassionate, strong, funny, and a little bit annoying at times because she doesn't notice that Noah kisses the ground she walks on...but I forgive her.

In a Jam is a slow burn.....I must admit that it has a slow start, but the slow burn is WORTH IT. ❤️‍
