Heartless by Elsie Silver
4.5
“Save a horse, ride a cowboy.”
I am a sucker for single-parent trope romance.
You give me a baby in the plotline, and I am already in love.
I enjoyed Heartless more than the first book.
I think the humour and the characters' banter stole the show.
It shows a natural chemistry without cringing.
The plotline was simple and straight to the point.
We follow through their journey of finding what they are trying to find.
The relationship we see over the plotline grows and develops; naturally, the chemistry between them makes you fall in love.
There wasn't a dramatic plot twist or a "villain" in the plotline.
Which I enjoyed because it didn't feel forced.
However, there was a CLIMAX in the plotline that wanted to make the reader feel like something wrong would happen, but it just wrapped up quickly like it wasn't happening.
“She's the girl who told me she'd be ready for me to inspect her undergarments and didn't think twice about it.”
