Careless Hope by Kate McWilliams, Kate McWilliams

5.0

I’m was so excited for this release because I couldn’t wait to return to Whittier Falls.
I knew Walker was going to be special, and that there was so much more to him than the glimpses we got in Balancing Act. This is book 2 in the series but can be read as a standalone.

We got so much more from him and Caroline than I could have imagined. Their story was so beautiful and Kate makes them so real and relatable.

Caroline returns to Whittier Falls to take over her family's medical practice, but is more of a wall flower and doesn't like attention. Walker couldn't be more opposite than Caroline, the playboy that plays harder than he works according to his older brother.

When Caroline befriends Walker and ask for his help learning to date and be more than just the doctor. He sees this as the perfect opportunity to use their fake dating as a way to convince Gray that he can be serious and listen to him when it comes to the ranch.

What starts out as fun and fake quickly becomes real for Gray as he falls fast and hard for Caroline.
The way they became so important to each other and helped one another grow was written so beautifully. They were both searching for what was missing in their lives and they ended up finding it in each other.

If you're looking for a sweet and spicy cowboy romance than this is the book for you! I absolutely love Whittier Falls and want to become best friends with the lot of this small town family.
