My most beloved book of all time. If I could read one book for the rest of my life, it would be this one. The feelings between the characters are immacculate, the narration is tragic in a very down to earth way, it's slice of life in the imperial family without the tension (rightfully) present in other stories. A very calming read. I love love love this book. This is probably at least my 20th reread.
