I'm not kidding when I say that if I had the time, I would've finished this book in no more than a day. Shannon Chakraborty really has a way of making the reader feel as if they're watching a movie with how seamless every part of this series is. From the plot itself, the world, and the characters, every part of this had me hooked beyond belief. Seriously, I read the final 200 pages in under 4 hours...that's how fast-paced it is and how utterly mesmerized I was.
Chakraborty took the sheer beauty of The City of Brass and molded it into a work of art with The Kingdom of Copper. I can't go into specific details surrounding the plot, world, and characters because I don't want to spoil anyone who hasn't read further than the first book. What I can say is if you thought the City of Brass was a masterpiece, you're going to be blown away by book 2.
To say I'm looking forward to The Empire of Gold is the biggest understatement of the century. This is quickly becoming one of my all-time favorite fantasy trilogies!
