I didn't even notice that I hadn't reviewed this series after the first book until I read this book despite being up to date. I pretty much love everything Fiona Davenport writes but it was so refreshing to get back to this world!

Aaron grew up hearing about how important fated mates were like all shifter pups. He never thought his own mate would reject him and for such a dumb reason as the one his mate gave him. It destroyed him but he would gladly go through it twice as long as it brought him to Cressida.

I have no idea why but I thought she was just a special kind of wolf before it was revealed what Cressida is. I guess I read too much wattpad as a teenager. I know some people might not like what she is or think it as cliché but I loved it when it was revealed!

I adore fated mates tropes especially in this universe but I'm not going to lie: I loved that Cressida and Aaron were able to choose each other and without regretting someone else! Aaron's ex mate doesn't count as he didn't do the rejecting. I wish this was possible to all shifters who were rejected.

All in all this romance was everything I didn't know that I needed. It was adorable how they chose each other since the beginning and were exactly what they needed.
