It surprised me how this book talks more about slow-burn romance than its fantasy, in a good way. We will follow Kazi and her friends on mission to find their kingdom's traitor while investigating a crime in Ballenger Territory then Kazi meets Jase and the story begins to unveil their adventure throughout up and down chemistry. Their chemistry truly made me on nerves, like how they called it love when so many secrets lied between them. The way their story is told is quite enjoyable because if I should be honest the universe where its fantasy should be built doesn't well-explained. To know which kind of culture they adopt, what languages they speak, what their skin colors are, what kind of clothes they wear, those are necessary to help readers re-construct imagination. So, it leads readers to feel confused at the major chapters of the book. I am still thinking whether is worth or not to read the second book.
