The Three Dahlias by Katy Watson
5.0
for once i'm very late with my review - and now i know, why i always try to write them as soon as possible: i tend to forget everything, if not the story, at least my thoughts on it.
but it's easy with this one: i absolutely adored it. the three generations of women investigating, the modern day setting but golden age of crime vibe, the dahlia quotes, the narrator of the audiobook, the quite big cast that i never struggled with, the nuanced characters that really came to life and even the mystery (although there could have been more interesting clues towards the real murderer, if we're being picky).
the whole meta fiction /book-within-a-film-within-a-book thing was so cool, the way the stories merged, everything.
i especially enjoyed the friendship between the three leads, they are each so wonderful and well written.
i seem to be on a good streak with my cozies atm, which i'm not gonna complain about at all :)
