Feminist Theory: From Margin to Center by bell hooks

5.0

After reading this for a feminist theory class, I can say I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. It was my first time reading theory and I was worried about how well I would comprehend the book, but I understood most of it pretty well. hooks had some wonderful points within the theories presented and it was something I enjoyed reflecting on. Being able to read this as a middle-class white woman and take note and realize that I might not be representing the feminist movement in the best light at times due to my own privilege was something I value.
