Immaculate vibes and heartbreakingly loveable characters.
The AI were gods. And then they corrupted. Nobody knows why this happens, but that doesn't stop human lives from being decimated in the wake of corruption. Relics, those that were tied in to AI during corruption who now have extra-human abilities, now face the threat of governments that want to bind them into giant fighting mechs. One such relic is a man who wants to die, but whose body keeps repairing itself and forcing him to continue to live and be loved. And the AI that left him this way, may not be as dead as he thought.
I was enraptured with this story, watching Suni struggle with why he is alive. I loved the characters. And while, to be honest, I am not 100% sure I understood everything that happened, I enjoyed the ride immensely and find it worth a reread.
