His darkness was an extension of her night. Her night was the home to his darkness.
I honestly don't have a single negative thing to say about this book. The plot, the dialogue, the story, the characters, the EVERYTHING of this book was exceptional. It's such an interesting twist on Greek mythology, and I absolutely loved this book. Seriously, I am obsessed with Nyx and Erebus now. Also, the witty banter between the characters was the cherry on top. I was literally laughing while reading some of the exchanges between Hades, Poseidon, and Erebus (and of course Hermes and Hecate).
"I love you. Regardless of day and night, of darkness and of light, no matter what the gods say, or the Fates decide...I love you. Whatever you believe my motivations to be, know this, I did it all for the love of you."
The dynamic between Nyx and Erebus was amazing. Their characters complemented each other so well, and I really enjoyed how supportive Erebus was of Nyx and her all-encompassing power. Molly Tullis did a stellar job with the supporting characters as well, shining light on a new perspective of how the gods of the Underworld and above are viewed. I can't wait to read the next book in this series once it's released!
