Another LLV book that I absolutely flew through – Louis Spurlock and Calloway Alverez were two teenagers in love – they didn’t understand the depth of what they were feeling; but they knew it was something precious.

But Louis, in a fit of what can only be called teenage madness, breaks up with Calloway, believing that his plan to be in the armed forces as well as his need to travel the world would be “hindered” by Calloway’s medical issues; specifically her anaemia and the fact she needs blood transfusion regularly.

You would think he is an a****, and he is – but he was also a teenage boy confronted by his feelings and what he thinks would be his way to see the world; that he wouldn’t be able to if he had Calloway waiting for him back home.

To his credit, he knew he made a mistake the moment he did it, but Calloway; now she refused to even listen or see him; for he broke her heart; and there is no coming back from that. Or is there?

Now, the one thing that I absolutely adore about LLV books is the fact that I learn something new from them; always – like in this, I learnt about anaemia  and how it actually affects Calloway’s life – but it was how Louis pined for, his feelings so absolutely real and how he wooed his girl back was so charmingly beautiful!

Add in to the little suspense of a stalker, made for another well rounded romantic suspense; and like always, really looking forward to the next book in the series!
