A Deadly Education by Naomi Novik

This wasn't an appropriate book for me. It's about an angsty teenager in a magic school that can and will kill you. It was a lot of high school like politics with extreme stakes. And it was told entirely from a single POV, a girl with acceptance and rejection issues. I didn't enjoy her inner monologues.

The story is creative and competently executed, it just isn't my particular cup of tea.

And I found the ending rather underhanded.

My least favorite of Novik's offerings that I have read.
