I don't know what to say about this book. I really don't. The story of a serial killer and his impending execution told through the lives of the women in his life... Sounds grim, right? And at times it is grim, even downright macabre, unsettling. But somehow, in spite of the dark story matter, this is a story of hope and resilience and the quiet strength that lies at the core of every woman no matter how battered by the evils of the world. The strength to keep going, the strength to do more. To fight for justice, to fight for family, or the strength to fight for yourself. Notes on an Execution is a powerful book filled with hope, love, and light, there to be found even in the darkest of places.
