Autoboyography by Christina Lauren

5.0

I was recommended this book by a follower and because it had been on my to read shelf for quite a few months, I decided to buy it off Amazon with the money my bosses had gifted me for Administrative Professionals day (thanks bosses!!). I was a bit unsure from the sample I read but I went for it anyways and I'm SO glad I did. This book is funny and candid and heartbreaking and uplifting all at the same time. It's such a good discussion of the intersection between sexuality and religion, both the accepting sides and the homophobic sides. It discusses bisexuality with an open mind and depicts the draws and repellants of organized religion with raw honesty. It's both extremely supportive and at times very hard to read because a lot of people go through what Sebastian goes through in the book. Autoboyography was wonderfully immersive and at many points, painfully relatable. Easily one of my favourites for a long time to come.
