Undeniably Convenient was an amazing start to J. Saman’s new series. I am a sucker for a baby trope and a second chance romance and this was a perfect combination of the two. Katy is a trauma surgeon who has sworn off love after being burned by her ex. Katy has some medical conditions that affect her being able to get pregnant and she wants to have a baby while she has the all clear from her doctors. Swearing off love has her in the predicament of trying to figure out exactly how she wants to go about this. Bennett is freshly divorced and just started working as the Chief of Trauma after leaving his old job because of some bad things that happened at his last job. He has also sworn off love but longs to have children. After getting stuck in an elevator together Katy recognizes Bennet from her third year of medical school and a kiss they shared before he moved. After crossing paths and a little bit of fate they end up coming up with a contract to have a baby together, no love (haha hmmmm), just working toward the same goal of having a child. I absolutely fell in love with Katy and Bennett. The tension and the angst was so good, I was yelling a my kindle “Come on!! Just tell each other how you really feel”. Their chemistry was palpable and their banter was perfection. I loved the characters from the irresistible series made an appearance, I fell in love with those characters and I love that we still get a little glimpse of them. I absolutely loved Bennett’s mom, she was just a little pop of joy every time she came on the page. The ending/epilogue was perfect. This was the perfect start to the series and I cannot wait for Owen’s story (I love a single dad).
