No matter how well-crafted and engaging this book may be, I am repulsed by the idea of shedding tears over it, as many readers have done. The characters' personalities are incredibly unrealistic, and their actions lack logic. Moreover, I find the author's depiction of trauma and the behavior of traumatized individuals offensive and hurtful. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this book to anyone, as it is sickening and lacks any appeal whatsoever.
