Bossing the Cowboy by Kennedy Fox

Elizabeth has her hands full. She’s trying to get experience so that she will be good at her job. Connor is a man who can keep a secret. His business keeps him very busy. Don’t let the title fool you. Connor and Elizabeth have jobs where their love of animals shines through.

Even though this is book four of a series, you could start the series here and be fine. It’s a light story that for the most part should make you feel good. It may even give you a reason to laugh or even chuckle. You may find some scenes that will pull at your heartstrings. There’s a lot to this story but our authors do a good job at moving things along. And with that, they do a good job at bending time and it will not leave you wondering what you may have missed. Although, there may be a secondary character you come to miss once you arrive at the ending.

There is an age-gap here but unless you think about their life experiences, I don’t think that it really makes much difference to the story. What may make a difference is what is going on in Connor’s life and how it affects both Elizabeth and the secondary character. These authors know what will grab my attention and have the scenes seem so realistic that your emotions may start to get involved – and having tissues at hand may be necessary. But even though the ending was a happy one, it has made me addicted to the Bishop’s. I’m not the most patient person in the world but at least July is only a couple of months away.

I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
