Aesop's Fables by D.L. Ashliman, Aesop, Arthur Rackham
4.0
More than anything it is enjoyable to read these little lessons of which we have heard the "morals of the story" all our lives. Some of them I read and think "Ah! So that is where the saying was born!" Some of them make you chuckle, some of them cause you to stop and think. Some of them question my own actions.
A breeze to read through in a single sitting or in many various ones, everyone should sit and read these fables at some point...perhaps as children and then again as adults. No ones knows everything! Even these little stories offer bits of thoughts and advice for the most experienced of souls.
This particular copy of the fables (B&N) is cool because it has so much other stuff to read in it besides just the fables as well as recommended further readings for those who just love to learn more about everything.
