Duckie Mack has a talent for creating characters that will sweep you away, and this book is no exception. I fell instantly in love with both Dash and Evan. Neither of them was perfect, but rather down to earth, relatable characters with flaws and realistic life issues. I appreciated the fact that they talked to each other and worked through things instead of trying to hide parts of themselves, and I loved how they accepted each other not just on the surface but at a deeper level.

The plot itself was so much fun. It focussed on the relationship of the characters, like any good romance book, but had a wonderful storyline that kept me hooked. And when it came to the romance aspects, there was a perfect mix of sweet and spice. I also loved getting little peeks at characters from other book and series while getting to know new ones. Reading this book was like coming home and hanging out with friends.

I will add one warning to any potential readers: This book will make you hungry. The descriptions of food were mouth watering and I'm very upset I don't have my very own pitmaster making me special bacon and feeding me cheese while I sit on my cheese throne.

Overall this book was a great, quick read that I couldn't put down. I can't wait to see what happens next in this series! If you're looking for a cute story with excellent pacing and characters you'll adore, you should give this one a try.
