It has been awhile since I liked a book in this series enough to feel like I wanted to review it. It's taking me forever to read this series because I'm buddy reading it with Ruby.

Qhuinn felt like a different character at times from the male we saw in earlier books because he had only like one scene where his temper got the better of him. His relationship with Blay wasn't all chocolates and roses but I loved their relationship much more in this book. They were always honest to each other and I didn't feel like one character deserved more. It was so great to see how clearly they loved each other and would do anything for each other.

If you've read Lover at Last (book focusing on Qhuinn and Blay's romance) you probably know how bad Qhuinn's home life was but the flashback still made me sad. I don't get why they even raised him if his parents thought he was so beneath them only because of his eyes.

Luchas was never a good brother to Qhuinn until after their parents died but I loved seeing that he's actually a good male. He was proud of his brother and thinks he chose wisely when he picked Blaylock as his mate, a male of worth. It also sounded like he really liked Qhuinn's young.

I do not like how many point of views these books have and so when we started getting Elle's point of view with her sister I thought it was useless and wanted to skip them but listening parts of this book in audiobook helped me get through them and I ended up actually enjoying them.

I don't know why but every time they bring up Wellsie I get annoyed. She was important to some of them and Tohr really loved her but I guess every time she's mentioned I feel like it lessens his love for Autumn. I already feel like she deserved more than him.

All in all this is a book about love and lost. I loved seeing the brotherhoods acting like brothers and I adored seeing co parenting with Xcor, Layla, Qhuinn and Blay. This book managed to restore my love for this series.
