There were some things I enjoyed about this book. And I love reading about this period in history. The book felt very claustrophobic (which I think was the point) and a little trauma-porny to me. I do think that was the author’s intent. So for following the author’s intent it would be 5 stars. I just don’t think it was the right book for me, so for me personally it was 2.75.
