Noah's mum comes to spend Thanksgiving in LA, and when her friend's son doesn't show up at the airport, they discover he has died in his apartment under mysterious circumstances, which Noah, Javier, and the extended team aim to bring to light.
Honestly I found this instalment in the Pinx Video series incredibly sad. Maybe it was the idea of learning your son has died/been murdered on Thanksgiving, when you travelled over the country to see him? Maybe it was that the victim was HIV+ and living with AIDS, and was so obviously alone and isolated. Maybe it was Noah's secrecy surrounding his HIV status, unable to share his fears or struggles with everyone, continuing to push Javier away and his continual loneliness. It seeps through the page and it makes me so sad... With Noah's choices meaning there couldn't be many interactions with Javier, I felt this instalment lacked the balance that might have turned that sadness into something moving.
I'm leaning towards dropping the series, because I just feel like Noah is being tortured at this point for no purpose, and I really think a series shelved as romance requires a little romance...
