The Grammarian's Five Daughters by Eleanor Arnason
5.0
An extremely clever story about—well, as should be obvious—grammar. The uses thereof, from the multiple parts of speech: nouns, verbs, adjective, adverbs, and prepositions. Using the motif of the traditional fairy tale and children who must go out into the world and make a life for themselves, Arnason plays with language and teaches you about it at the same time. I’ll give this the highest recommendation: I wish I had written it.
