I did really enjoy the Hindu culture in this book but there were things that drew me out of the story and they’re totally me things. Like idk I don’t like it when fantasy mixes with the real world, why do they have cell phones, I don’t want to see them texting when they’re talking about super cool parts of the fantasy aspect. Things like that threw me off so I didn’t enjoy it as much as I could have. I thought the idea was cool and I really loved when they went to the star court (I listened to the audiobook so my bad if I call things the wrong name), that was my favorite section of the book but then it kind of hit a lull with her getting ready for the competition.
